Back to overview

The module is designed to be as flexible as possible. To achieve this, the amount of information that is part of the standard setup and structure of profiles is kept basic, and it includes only those types of information that apply to a profile regardless of the industry it is in. On top of that we allow you to create your own custom blocks of data that can be applied to each profile. This makes it so every site utilizing the Profile v2 module can have set of information that is completely customized to the individual site, while not requiring any major re-development of the system that drives it. The module also supports custom data fields - the difference between them is that custom fields are intended for short pieces of information (e.g. something you add in a simple, small text field) while custom blocks are for larger blocks of content (e.g. something that could normally be put on a page of its own).

Selecting a default set of data blocks

The system has some pre-defined sets of custom data blocks available to get your site up to speed quicker. You are not at all required to use these - you are able to fully custom create a set of custom data blocks for use with your profiles - but if you do want to use them to get up to speed quicker, you can select the preferred set of data blocks by going to the preferences area of the module.
