User Management Overview

The User Management module allows additional users to be granted custom access to the CMS. This module can be located at the bottom of the Core Modules section.

The Users overview page displays:

  • The first and last name of the user
  • The username that's entered to login
  • The level of access allowed throughout the CMS
  • The date the user was added
  • That user's status

User Info

To add a new User, select the Add User Account button. Once in the Users - Add detail page, begin filling out the User Info and User Module Access Rights.

  1. Complete the First and Last name fields for the intended user.
  2. Add a Username. We recommend making the username resemble closely to the First and Last name of the user. The Username is what the user will enter when logging into the CMS.
  3. Create a Password. The User will need to know both the Username and Password in order to successfully log in to the CMS.
  4. Select a User Level from the dropdown.
    • A basic user cannot create new user accounts and is managed by another user, which would either be the default user assigned during the project process or a new Managing User.
    • The Managing User is able to create new users and manage those users' access to the CMS.
  5. If the User level is the basic User, then select the Manager User from the dropdown on the right. This list includes the default user assigned during the project process and any new Managing Users created previously.
    • If the User level is a Managing User, the Managing User dropdown selection becomes unavailable because it is irrelevant.

User Module Access Rights

The listed modules allow you to select which modules and pages the new user will have access to. Simply check the boxes you would like the new user to have access to.

Upon saving (by clicking the Add User button in the bottom right corner), the user will only see the checked modules and can therefore edit the content within those modules.
